For this visual identity proposal for the 76th Biennale of Contemporary Arts de La Chaux-de-Fonds, I explored the unsettling feeling of liminal spaces. Photographs taken around the museum were transformed into strange, unreal environments, paired with a rigid typographic system inspired by old camera interfaces to create a sense of disorientation.

Photographs taken in and around the museum were selected for their unusual atmosphere, then reworked through editing, photomontage, and Photoshop’s AI tools to emphasize their liminal quality.

This project was developed as my diploma thesis to complete my studies. It explores the world of the Mervelier brass band through a musical narrative of its history, as well as through a visual and sonic language inspired by the mechanics and characteristics of brass instruments. More
